Mike Munson (Winona, MN) is a renowned guitarist with an unmistakable sound, blending indie folk, roots, jazz and improvised music into a catalogue of original songs. He has warmed the stage for Mavis Staples, toured with Grammy nominee Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, and played the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Vancouver Folk Music Festival and Waterfront Blues Festival. His guitar voicing, shaped by recording "Rose Hill" at the Blue Front Cafe in Bentonia, Mississippi under Holmes's mentorship, is the product of decades chasing the perfect tone.
