Tom Pevear treats old songs as living things, passed from one musician to the next with each adding their own mark. Originally from Boston and now based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he's known for nimble fingerpicking and soulful singing. He breathes new life into classic blues, folk, bluegrass and country, and writes originals drawn from life on the road.
Tom plays more than 250 shows a year across the central US. He's shared stages with John Fullbright, Ken Pomeroy and The Greyhounds, and played festivals like the Woody Guthrie Folk Fest and the Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival. His album Songs for the Road is out on Nashville's Gitcha Records. Each track was recorded in a single take over just three days in Tulsa. He's also an Iris Guitars artist, and his custom Iris guitar sounds as good as it looks.
